VC500CXT – Installation Guide

Model Confirmation

To confirm your model, look at the label on the back of your product and verify that the model number says VC500CXT.

VC500CXT Note

If your VC500CXT displays a red light when connected to the computer, it indicates that its internal chip is legacy hardware and is incompatible with modern operating systems. To resolve this, we recommend upgrading to our latest VC500 model, which features a universal chip designed for modern computers.

Buyer Advisory: Because this older model no longer works on modern computers, it is frequently sold secondhand on eBay or at garage sales. If you recently purchased this item under these circumstances, we strongly advise returning it to the seller for a refund if you are still able to do so.

If the device displays a blue light, please try using OBS Studio, which you can download for free here: obsproject.com.

If the device still does not appear in OBS, a recent Windows 11 update is likely blocking the older hardware from communicating with your system. Because the VC500CXT has reached its end-of-life cycle, we no longer offer software updates for it. We highly recommend upgrading to our current VC500 model for guaranteed, plug-and-play compatibility with any computer.
