  • 2009-10-02    [ VC600 ]   PCWizKidsTechTalk.com  ---  PCWizKidsTechTalk.com recommends the Diamond VC600 video capture card.
Ever wished you could backup your VHS tapes quickly to your PC? or perhaps do a recording of what your watching on TV/PVR or even on your game console?  Diamond Multimedia makes it possible with the VC600 One Touch Video Capture USB device. Flexible and asy to use comes to mind when mentioning the VC600, this one touch capture is one of the simplest ways to capture video PCWizKid has tried so far.  The one touch grabber software worked great and allowed transfer of video in various file formats and sizes according to your needs.A Recommend PCWizKid Product!

"The Diamond USB Adapter provides a portable solution for setting up multiple monitors, particularly ideal for laptop setups. Traditionally, in order to support two monitors you would need a video card with two outputs or two video cards, which can be expensive and especially hard to do on a laptop.  The Diamond adapter provides a solution in a far simpler form." "Not only was the XOC able to run away from the much more expensive GTX 285 1GB on a regular basis but due to its high memory clocks, its performance sat right behind the ultra high speed Sapphire HD 4890 Atomic." "The minimum framerate increases we saw were impressive to say the least."-MH

  • 2009-05-27    [ 4870PE51GDI ]   DragonSteelMods.com  ---  Dragon Steel Mods Recommends the 4870 1GB DI!
"The Diamond 4870 1gig card is one that I can recommend, and since the new 4890 cards have comes out the prices on these have dropped, making now the time to grab one." "The card runs cool and quiet even under load, the Sapphire 4870 I have can get very loud when it's under load, this is apparently the fault of the cooler that's on it. The Diamond card obviously has the better cooler as it does not have to work as hard to keep the card cool, so the fan isn't running at high speed as soon as you start up a game., and your PC doesn't sound like a small airplane taking off."

"What it does do is decode high definition video extremely well... you can get a video card that decodes video with almost no CPUusage whatsoever. I took a few hours to watch some of my favorite movies, and CPU usage was extraordinarily low. About 80% of the time, CPU usage was reported at 1%. I'm going to say "Great job ATI!" for making an awesome, easily affordable card!" -TH

"Overall, the experience with Diamond’s RADEON 4870 X2 could have hardly been any better, the card is a superior performer and it runs very quiet. " ..."Lets face it: 2 GB of 3.6 gbps DDR5 and two GPUs with more stream processors than some other cards have transistors, all of it working without the need to use noise-cancellation headphones at a street price in the vicinity of US$ 540.-. That is about as sweet a deal as one could possibly dream of. One might just as well get two of these cards and run in CrossFireX mode."  "The Diamond R4870 X2 literally wipes the floor with the rest of the contenders. "
